I have tried twice to make it to conferences in the UK and for one reason or another I have failed to make it.
This year it was d.Construct but it was too ambitious; I have just returned from 4 weeks in New York to a family full to bursting with 3 children, all in demand of some daddy attention and a The Missus going nearly fucking mad as a result of my trip leaving her alone with 3 kids all under 5. To piss off for another 3 days would be rude to the maximum… and even by my standards it’s too rude.
So, I conclude conferences are out. Much as I would like to prove that I am nicer, much more aggressive, fatter, better looking and three times more boring than you might imagine there seems to be no way I can fit it in right now; maybe when Web 3.0 is finally with us I’ll have the time.
Family comes first!
