I'll take the noise thanks

Friday January 27, 2006

There is a blogger who I know reads this blog once in a while (not that I'm bragging), whose blog I commented on today, who might think this post was inspired by his post but it's not and if he doesn't think this post was inspired by that post then good, I am glad we settled it three sentences from the end of this paragraph. No, there was another, much holier than thou, post that inspired this post but I don't want to directly link to the post because they have about 10,000,000 more readers than me and I am scared. And so, to the blogger who might think I am blogging because of his blog and having a rant at him, I am not. I am glad we cleared that up, I'll carry on then Garrett! ;-)

Hitler, now he was a nice man wasn't he? In the world of signal versus noise, our man Hitler was a signal man all the way, no space for noise in his view of the world.

The Chinese government, they don't like noise; in fact so much so they are having those nice people at Google filter all unwanted noise, technology is great isn't it?

Eddie Izzard, he makes a load of noise. I mean really, the guy talks absolute crap and makes a fortune doing it but fuck it makes me laugh and when I laugh some happy chemicals are released and I feel fine.

Fucking, and I don't mean swearing, I mean a good vigorous work out in the old horizontal gym, that makes a lot of noise, or at least it should do in my opinion.

So there we have it signal versus noise, I know which I choose.

Brilliant. That’s all I have to say about that.

dont think that matt wants you to think how he thinks, i think he thinks what he wants and so shall you, fellow oxton.

i call this “too much noise about a personal signal”. i could have ‘passed’ to comment, but wtf, eh? :D

Not drunk!? You should be dammit!

I think they’re just upset that nobody tagged them ;)

It’s all in the name. A ‘bullshit tout la monde’ wouldn’t get any stick about, erm, noise v cygnets.

I like the noise. I need it. When was the last time an article about standards (web standards, I hope?) and web development brought a chuckle and a smile? I should hope never.

Their feed was removed from my NewsFire tonight. I’m with you brother.

Agreed. Nothing worse than someone that acknowledges their own self worth blatantly.

Are we really talking about a real person, I’m so lost. I tried to figure it out but couldn’t. I’m either a daft mofo or this is another one of those UK things.

I did think that was a bit up its own arse – as with a fair bit of other stuff from the same mob lately.

If I ever get that anally retentive about anything, I authorise the readers of this blog to shoot me. No really.

And I AM drunk (It’s Friday night for christ’s sake…)

I’m not sure what’s going on (for a change) but I would have to say…no, no, no, no…yes!

But I am also a bit frightened, is the world about to end?

Yeah, that’s just about enough of them.

I, for one, love it when people post anything regarding a “meme” to their blog. I have way too many subscriptions and crap like that makes it terribly easy to decide who to unsubscribe to.

That being said, I’m about done with designers who blog altogether. Most of them are big morons. Just my $0.02.

Owww… someone tell me what this is about?

Andy: Key words are `signal’ and `noise’. ;)

    I found them both!
Could it be that they just don’t have anyone to pass the meme on to? Or are insulted it reached them only now, after all the good answers are already taken? :)

    Bring on the noise!

Thanks to a certain hick, I finally, finally get this post. I’ve been a little slow on the uptake lately, obviously.

You sneaky man, John, reading this post was like the Da Vinci code. A message within a message to guide me to the real message.
